Highland Cemetery

Located in Fort Mitchell, Ky, Highland Cemetery has been in existence since 1868. It is so peaceful and tranquil.....

They that love beyond the World,
cannot be separated by it.
Death cannot kill, what never dies.
Nor can Spirits ever be divided that
love and live in the same Divine Principle;
the Root and Record of their Friendship.
If Absence be not death, neither is theirs.

Death is but Crossing the World,
as Friends do the Seas;
They live in one another still.
For they must needs be present,
that love and live in that which is Omnipresent.
In this Divine Glass,
they see Face to Face;
and their Converse is Free,
as well as Pure.

This is the Comfort of Friends,
that though they may be said to Die,
yet their Friendship and Society are,
in the best Sense, ever present, because Immortal.

Chasing Gabriel!

If I only had one third of his energy...
Little Gabriel certainly had us running this past weekend. Not quite the family portrait session we had planned...but we got some great shots. My favorite actually. Kids doing what they do best- running, playing, laughing.

Bowman Fall Festival

This year's Fall Festival was a big hit with fantastic food, great finds, awesome music, and an evening street dance.

We had a great assortment of music, with performances from Bowman's very own Jack Schatz (Coffee Junction and Sara Furr Schatz Landscape Architect)

Great food from locals Kelly Scott (and family) at Fancy Feather Farms

An amazing performance from country singer Sylvia Lee Walker

Bowman had it's first Bowman Idol Contest this year covered by NSCG 105.3 FM.

Kids of all ages enjoyed the festivities!

We had a huge turnout for the Street Dance on the Square with music by The Splitz

Thank you Bruce Neese, Faye Blaser, Betty Yetzina, mayor Pam Johnson, and everyone who helped to make this event a huge success. An extra big thank you to all the food vendors, crafters, yard salers for setting up and making the Fall Festival possible!

We also want to thank our friends at the Granite Center Shrine Club for setting up the Kid Zone.

Sunshine and Happiness

Our wonderful new neighbors (sadly, not for long since we'll be moving in two weeks) were kind enough to allow me to photograph their two beautiful children today. We had tons of fun, got lots of bug bites, and certainly got tired out! I'm still processing many more, but I just couldn't help myself, I had to share a few of Charla. She is so full of spunk! Stay tuned, there's lots more to come.
